If you insist on providing webmail locally (and are aware of the long-term disk space requirements for doing so) then I recommend SquirrelMail.

Or route all incoming mail to a free Gmail account (http://gmail.com) and use their interface. Its as full-featured as you can ask for, and the already massive (2.4 GB+) disk space allowance grows by the minute.
