For anyone still paying attention, after Russ told me the location of 
the address book, I was able to use the getback command to restore it.

About getback - when you run getback on a file, you are given 4 
versions, one from the previous day and three from 7, 14 and 21 days 
ago. The previous day version is "Online" and is free. The other 
versions are on tape and a fee is required to get them.

Thanks. The option to not write the user's address book if the user is 
out of space will be a nice feature to have.
