Re: [cpx] CPX handle of log rotation

Ok, I actually took the time to look in /etc/crontab and thre is no entry for savelogs. On another server that I have installed savelog on there is no entry in /etc/crontab for savelogs. On servers where I have savelogs running there is an entry in /var/cron/tabs/root that looks like this:

3 0 * * * /usr/local/bin/savelogs --config=/usr/local/etc/savelogs.conf

So how is CPX supposedly setting up savelogs? I checked again today and logs are still not being rotated on the server that I installed CPX on.

Thanks,

Oh man! What a mess! I haven't swept in there all year! Jeez... I guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend. Sweep the dust out of /etc/crontab... brush the cobwebs away from /var/spool/at... toss the old stale Twinkies that are laying around in /var/log/messages...

Whoa!! I'm glad I looked in /etc/crontab... here's a solid $1.73 in loose change!!! That will buy me a package of *fresh* Twinkies :-)

Cheerios,
