Hi,
I jJust wanted to share some experiences on the CPX while using it on
an allready full VPS (yes i know this is not made for that BUT anyway i
try ;) ) and the issues i found.
I am trying to use cpx in the context of migrating old vps v1 to vps
v2. It seems to me that if the servername of a vhost is starting with
"www" then we can only create email for the domain in
xxx@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx am i right ? that what i got on my experiment when
the domain is NOT created with cpx. When created with cpx i do not have
the issue as it automaticaly remove the www and put them as serveralias.
I also seem unable to ADD a domain alias ex i got domain.org and i
want to add domain.net domain.com to the same vhost. But perhaps again
i miss something here.
When using the panel on my brand new vps'es i find that the control
panel is kind of slow , it remind me of autobahn sometimes in this
regard so i wonder if this is me or not ?
Also, is there a way to "import" the websites. For exemple if i have
35 sites on a vps v1 that i put on a vps v2 in the relevant directories.
How ask CPX to detect them and put , for exemple the default log
rotation policy on all of them ? or said another way how to track what
it does to mimick it for my domains in a manner that cpx will recognize it ?
On all the VPS where i installed cpx , i am not able to get imanager
working. I mean i install cpx and decide not to use it, so i install
imanager2 and then i cannot access it as it prompt the login page but
goes to error 500 after that. I don't know if this is related to cpx or
perhaps to perl5.8.4. Do any of you can run the very last version of
imanager2 on their VPS or is it only me ?
As a note when you delete a domain you have a javascript warning. Is
it possible to say the domain name in this popup and not just "this
domain" ? This way if i push the wrong button i can go back. With this
system i will automaticaly click and toos the domain as all produce the
same warning.
I am very interested in all that, it reminds me the "platinum" control
panel of ADARWEB/VERIO FRANCE. I wish to share experience and find the
error i make. If you can tell me if the problems i meet here are seen
elsewhere i will feel less alone in my cgi fight ;) but you can also
point me the BIG red button saying "push here to solve the issue" that i
miss like for the log rotation in the /etc/crontab ;-) either way suits
me as i can go further in the discovery of the CPX.
best regards,
Ghislain.
