[cpx] CPX install feedback/issues

I have some feedback on my first CPX install...a couple
suggestions that might help new installers, and I think a couple bugs.
I'll let the developers classify them. :) In no particular order...

1) After all the warnings about creating default virtmaps for all
domains, it didn't occur to me to create one for the main server's
"domain," which didn't have any users. So, the CPX vinstall carefully
created a new virtmap for each and every:

existingenduser@serverhostname -> existingenduser

Plus www, webmaster, root, and postmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'm not quite
sure where those came from, as other values from /etc/mail/aliases were
not imported. So don't forget that step if you insist on installing to
an existing server! Otherwise you may have to delete a bunch of extra
virtmaps.

2) CPX created in /etc/mail a new set of serverhostname.cf/.mc files, in
addition to the existing sendmail.cf. Why? (curious) They're both time
stamped and sized the same, which one is being used?

3) The httpd.conf on this server has one true vhost domain with a
ServerName of "www.domain.tld" (and ServerAlias of www.domain.tld). CPX
didn't detect any of the user@xxxxxxxxxx mailboxes belonged to the
domain. After switching a user to belong to the "www.domain.tld" domain,
a new virtmap of:

user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx -> user

is added, and also the reverse is added to a new (created by CPX) file
/etc/mail/genericstable. For what is genericstable used as opposed to
virtusertable?

4) Realizing I should have renamed the vhost in #3 to "domain.tld" in
httpd.conf *before* installing CPX, I did just that and logged in again.
CPX now shows two lines, one for domain.tld and one for www.domain.tld.
The latter is lacking a checkbox, and its "delete" link is disabled. [I
get part of that now...one can only delete domains without mailboxes.]
When editing the properties of "domain.tld" CPX recognizes the "Enable
www domain alias" option should be checked.

So...what happens if I delete "www.domain.tld" now? I'm chicken. :)

5) If I edit the properties of either domain.tld or www.domain.tld CPX
shows the wrong path for the Apache log files, so it's not pulling those
from httpd.conf. If I save chnages to the domain I assume it will
update httpd.conf and move the logs, but there's not a way to
change/correct that path which I can see (?).

6) In freshclam.conf, the vinstall uncommented "#NotifyClamd /config/file/path"
and added "DNSDatabaseInfo current.cvd.clamav.net" to the end of the
file. That would be OK except it basically created duplicates of those
entries. There was already a line:

NotifyClamd

...and the "DNS..." line was duplicated verbatim. (Now I'm going to
show my ignorance and ask if "/config/file/path" is a valid value or an
incorrectly used example entry? I thought it was the latter, and not
needed...and freshclam had been updating fine without it.)

7) I believe there was a recent thread about the server's domain having
its properties/disable/delete options disabled? Me to, but I think I
understand why. What I had was:

[ ] serverid.securesites.com (0 users) (prop/dis/del links)
serverhostname (14 users) (no links enabled)
[ ] www.domain.tld (0 users) (prop/dis/del links)

My first thought was, "Rats, CPX thinks serverhostname is a subdomain of
serverid.securesites.com (being listed underneath), and I can't change
anything on it either." Nope. CPX will not let you manage the main
server from the "domains" screen, even though it lists it there. I
guess you do that from the command line. The lack of checkbox doesn't
indicate parent/child but whether or not mailboxes exist and therefore
the domain can be deleted. Note "serverid.securesites.com" showed up
because there is a vhost entry for it in httpd.conf to allow an "Alias"
configuration directive. I think it might be less confusing if CPX did
not list the server's host name under "domains"...or maybe instead of
disabling all the links for it print "main server" in their place or
something.

8) The "domains" screens shows the user count for the main server as a
number but for other domains as "5 of 0". It's picky at this stage of
development but shouldn't that be simply "5" if there is no limit? :)

I think that's it for now.
